It鈥檚 understood victim was subcontractor for Costain/Galliford Try JV
A construction worker has been killed on the M1 smart motorway site near Northampton, it has been confirmed.
It is understood the victim was working for a subcontractor for the Costain/Galliford Try joint venture on the 拢65m project, which will boost capacity along the M1 between junctions 16 and 19.
A spokesperson for the Costain/Galliford Try JV said: 鈥淲e offer our sincere condolences to the deceased鈥檚 family, friends and colleagues at this very sad time.鈥�
The spokesperson added that an investigation into the incident is now underway.
