Rising electricity prices and high green subsidies mean that wind turbines have turned into a real money-spinner, reported the Sunday Times. According to their report a single turbine costs 拢2m to make, will pay for itself in five years and then produce nothing but profit. This combined with government subsidies could see the number of wind farms more than double in the next few years.

BAA may run out of cash, warns bank

BAA need to complete delayed financing or sell assets to prevent it from running out of money next year, according to investment bank JP Morgan. Analyst Robert Crimes claimed that the airports group could run out of cash in Q1-2, 2009, a Sunday Times article reported.
