Contractor Morgan Ashurst is preparing to scale back its Scottish business after a large schools project comes to an end next month, fuelling concern about public sector workload in Scotland

星空传媒 understands a letter was sent to staff on 6 June explaining that up to 75 jobs could go. The company would not confirm the number.

The firm is carrying out the final stage of the 拢100m schools PPP in East Dunbartonshire, with all six schools due to be handed over by August.

A spokesperson said: 鈥淲e have a number of major schemes coming to an end in Scotland, with new ones not coming online until later this year.鈥�

The news follows widespread disquiet about public procurement in Scotland as the Scottish Futures Trust, set up to finance large projects, has so far failed to put a single scheme out to tender.
