Several big name consultants and architects are among 40 winners on transport framework
A raft of big-name consultants including Arup, Atkins, Mace and Mott MacDonald have won places on an 拢80m transport services framework in Manchester.
Aecom, Arcadis, CH2M and WSP are other winners 鈥� among a total of 40 鈥� on the Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) transport professional services framework, which is split into 24 lots.
The four-year consultancy framework covers a range of services from civil engineering to architectural design.
It includes 24 lots covering all of TfGM鈥檚 responsibilities, including its systems, strategy, commercial, financial, design and engineering services.
These are split into three main consultancy services: railway systems, intelligent transport systems and public transport operations.
The tender process was highly competitive with TfGM receiving hundreds of tender submissions.
WSP was one big winner on the framework, securing a place on 14 of the 21 strategic lots.
WYG also landed a place on the framework. Matthew Davies, associate director and framework manager at WYG, said the win 鈥済ives WYG visibility at the highest levels of public sector transport and engineering.鈥�
He added: 鈥淚t is also a solid stepping stone towards realising our Northern Powerhouse aspirations.鈥�
