Four new homes burnt down by vandals in Thamesmead, south east London have been rebuilt by Wilcon Homes in only 15 days.
The homes on the Wilcon development were gutted in early July and four families were due to move in on 21 July.

Wilcon Homes regional director James Rowntree pledged to rebuild the homes in time for the homebuyers to move in as planned. All the materials used came from within the Wilson Connolly Group and Rowntree says that having direct control of the supply chain made the challenge possible. Timber frames came direct from its Prestoplan factory, while other elements came from Buildpac.com, its supplier.

"It was simply a case of picking up the phone and asking for delivery next day of everything needed for these house types," said Rowntree. "The system is sophisticated and flexible enough to respond to an emergency."
