CAMERA HOUSINGS FROM Conway Security Products will shortly be installed at UMIST (The University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology) by Lancashire-based Advanced Security Systems as part of a major surveillance upgrade across the north and south campuses.
Products in Conway's EH series of housings boast an unobtrusive design which, for the UMIST project, will house Plettac cameras and lenses from Ernitec. Featuring a combination of fibre optics and hard-wired transmission technologies, the system will also benefit from a new, dedicated Control Room on campus.
Including a self-parking, in-built wiper, the EH2 housings are manufactured to IP66. The cameras will be used to monitor recreation, accommodation and library areas.
