T Clarke has acquired GDI Electrical Company. The 拢1.55 million cash deal for the Altrincham-based electrical contractor follows last year鈥檚 acquisition of JJ Cross in Preston. GDI had an annual turnover of 拢2.2 million in the year to April 2001.

T Clarke md Pat Stanborough commented: 鈥淕DI fits well with JJ Cross. We are confident that with the acquisition of GDI we will continue to improve the quality and size of our order book.鈥�

T Clarke is upbeat about trading and the company鈥檚 directors expect that the results for the year ended 2001 鈥渨ill significantly exceed market expectations鈥�. The preliminary results are due to be announced on 8 March 2002.
