Point taken: Liverpool's Preston Point development (right) was highly commended in this year's Housing Design Awards.

The scheme, a conversion of two warehouses, was designed by Shed KM for Maritime Housing Association. The mixed commercial and residential sites include 80% shared ownership.

The Housing Design Awards are organised by the Royal Institute of British Architects, the Royal Town Planning Institute, the National House ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Council and the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.
