The Porter Ðǿմ«Ã½ is scheduled for completion by the end of September
An office building in Slough is in line to the one of the healthiest buildings in the UK as it seeks to achieve Well Ðǿմ«Ã½ Status.
The 120,000ft² Porter Ðǿմ«Ã½, designed by architects TP Bennett and being constructed by Bowmer & Kirkland, is expected to be completed by the end of September this year.
Since other developments seeking such a status will not be finished by then, those behind the project expect it to be the first to achieve it.
The Well Ðǿմ«Ã½ Standard is an international performance-based assessment methodology grounded in medical research exclusively focused on human health and well-being in the built environment.
The joint developers are Landid and Brockton Capital.
David Blair, TP Bennett director, said: “Working with the client Landid/Brockton, our aim was to embed the wellness concept into the base build.
“As a project pursuing Well certification, The Porter Ðǿմ«Ã½ should help set the standard for future developments and ensure well-being is on the agenda from the outset of development.â€
