New cross: Developer Argent and housebuilder St George have unveiled plans for the £2bn regeneration of the rundown King’s Cross area of north London. The proposals include turning landmark disused gas towers into apartments or an exhibition area. It is also hoped to provide at least 1100 homes, half of which would be affordable.
