Lancashire-based Places for People Group is to build 500 homes in Edinburgh, part of a £60m project.

The homes, at least 15% of which will be affordable, will be built with developer Burrell Company. The deal is the first residential contract awarded byWaterfront Edinburgh, a regeneration joint venture set up by Edinburgh council and Scottiosh Enterprise Edinburgh and Lothian.
