Operating theatres are safely on the move in Coventry and Romford.
Vanguard Healthcare Solutions, a provider of mobile surgery services to the NHS, has employed Merlin Power Management to ensure a constant and safe power supply for two of its mobile operating theatre suites.

The Romford and Coventry installations have each been equipped with a power system comprising two super-silenced 200 kVA generators, bulk fuel tanks, cabling and distribution equipment.

  The mobile units can be operated by one generator, the other acting as standby capacity for periods of maintenance or breakdowns.

Each mobile hospital combines a high-tech operating theatre with an anaesthetic room and three-bed recovery bay, plus an eight-bed recovery unit complete with bedhead services and nurses stations.

The systems will be maintained by Merlin on a 24/7 call-out service contract.
