The 2002 ‘List of Approved Fire and Security Products and Services’ – more commonly known as the Red Book – has just been published by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB).
Available in hard copy and on CD-Rom, the Red Book is widely acknowledged as the leading products and systems guide for security specifiers, clients and insurers. Each product or service listed has been put through a rigorous system of testing and assessment to ensure that they are ‘fit for purpose’.

Security managers responsible for fire protection will be interested to learn that Part 7 (Fixed Fire-Fighting Systems) now includes gaseous system component approval to the European standards in readiness for CE marking.
