Manufacturer Honeywell is promoting energy efficiency to clients from within its own factory.
Over 2500 lighting units have been replaced as part of the company's major energy saving programme. Low-energy lighting specialist Universal Lighting has replaced systems in offices, factory areas and warehousing throughout Honeywell's plant in Newhouse, Motherwell.

The newly installed high frequency luminaires feature Universal Lighting's reflector design. Their use meant that the number of lamps on site was halved, while lighting levels have been significantly improved.

Ongoing running costs of lighting are expected to be reduced by over 68% over the site.
