Engineer will work on Austin Smith Lord bus station in first phase of £174m transport hub
Hilson Moran has won the M&E contract at the first phase of the £174 Wolverhampton Interchange Scheme.
The engineering consultant will work on a two-storey bus station designed by architect Austin Smith Lord.
The next phases will feature a transport hub for trains, trams and buses, and a retail-led mixed-use scheme.
Simon Ramsden, divisional director at Hilson Moran, will lead the project team.
He said: “We are excited about this opportunity to help contribute to the regeneration of the city centre, which will improve transportation infrastructure for the people of Wolverhampton.â€
If Wolverhampton City Council approves planning the first phase will begin on site in November 2009.
