HAPPY HOMES: It was smiles all round at Carr-Gomm Housing Association’s second annual tenants’ conference in Birmingham. Two hundred tenants took part in workshops on creative writing, IT and the implications of Supporting People, the regime that will begin in April next year. London tenant Robert Coleman is pictured attending the “Greening of Carr-Gomm” workshop, at which tenants discussed how to make houses more environmentally friendly and what everyone can do to help save energy. The conference is a result of £400,000 lottery funding. Carr-Gomm houses more than 2000 vulnerable people including single mothers and people with mental illnesses.
