The Housing Corporation has made four statutory appointments to the board of New World Housing Association
Problems arose at the 190-home minority-ethnic association when two board members who were also employees of the London-based association were made redundant. They retained their seats on the board despite pursuing a claim against it for unfair dismissal.

The board did not follow the corporation's advice to review membership.

The four new members are Kerry Kyriacou, development and investment director of Downland Affinity Housing Group; Julian Webb, director of supported housing at Circle 33 Housing Group; Ben Bello general manager of Southern Homes; and consultant Elaine Bowes.
