This week鈥檚 #buildingdoodle sketch is by Ken Shuttleworth, founder of Make Architects. He says: 鈥淭his is of part of our Arena Central masterplan in Birmingham. On the left we have the first building to complete 鈥� HSBC moves in later this year. The listed Midland Bank is front and centre 鈥� as it is in the masterplan 鈥� and we are shortly to break ground on the new Birmingham home of HMRC at the back. These bound a new square which will be the focal point of the site. Drawing for me is so important 鈥� it is a way of understanding an architectural project that is different from any other. On this sketch, so much detail is missing and yet it still conveys our aims.鈥�
