Festival Housing Group has expanded its range of services by bringing a local foyer project into the group.
The volunteer board and staff at Malvern Hills Homeless Young Adults Trust, which runs the 12-flat Malvern Foyer, will now have access to the Worcestershire-based group鈥檚 financial, personnel, management and IT resources.

Festival executive director Clare Huyton said: 鈥淲e have always supported the project, but this move secures its future. A lot of foyer projects are facing an uncertain future at the moment, due to Supporting People and other changes. But this helps Malvern Hills Homeless Young Adults Trust approach their activities in a more professional way.鈥�

Festival has already applied for Housing Corporation funding to build an additional four flats at the Malvern Foyer, and recently opened three flats offering move-on accommodation to Foyer residents.

Huyton added: 鈥淭here is quite a lot of need in the area. It鈥檚 a good service for Malvern, and for people elsewhere in Worcestershire.鈥�
