The Ðǿմ«Ã½ Services Awards 2002 are now in their fifth year, and more than 1000 guests are expected to enjoy this year's awards ceremony to celebrate the best in building services.
The Awards will take place on 1 July at London's Le Meridien Grosvenor House on Park Lane. There are 17 award categories this year, and our judges have already worked hard to whittle down the entries to our shortlist, shown below. Also, for the first time this year, we are introducing a special award: Engineers Taking the Lead. This is given by the editors of BSJ and our sister title Electrical & Mechanical Contractor, and recognises the organisation – or individual – that has done most to promote and progress the engineering profession over the last year. The aim is to encourage all engineers to step forward and demonstrate their unique set of skills and knowledge to the benefit of projects, sustainability goals and even government policy.

Presenting the awards this year will be impersonator Jon Culshaw, most famous for the radio show during which he fooled Tony Blair into thinking he was William Hague. There will be a gala dinner followed by a casino.

Once again, our generorous sponsors are enabling us to recognise the hard work and skill of our industry. This year our Awards are supported by Andrews Water Heaters, Construction Best Practice Programme, Carrier, Daikin, Dalkia, ECA, Frenger, Lennox Industries, Hill McGlynn, HVCA, MK Electric, Sanyo, TAC, Toshiba, Uniflair and Wilo Salmson.
