An influential Dutch think tank has backed the adoption of tenant incentive schemes similar to the Gold Service pioneered by Irwell Valley housing association.
A study produced by the Verwey-Jonker Institute describes the Gold Service as a "smart but creative way for corporations to invest in their customers".
Models based on the service have already been adopted by three Dutch associations, and the report suggests that they could be rolled out across the Netherlands.
Irwell Valley chief executive Tom Manion said: "It's great for the UK to be the only net exporter of housing policy to Holland."
Meanwhile, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister released new guidance on tackling antisocial behaviour in mixed-tenure areas last Thursday.
The ODPM advised crime and disorder reduction partnerships not to limit their action to areas of social and local authority housing.
