Phil Buckle, the ECA’s head of technical services, is to leave the Association. He takes up the role of business
development director at the NICEIC on 2 June.

Phil Buckle has been at the Association for 14 years, joining in 1989 as a technical officer. He became head of the technical services department in 1996. Buckle was instrumental in achieving UKAS accreditation for the ECA’s inspection services and in the development of the EAS scheme for the assessment of competence.

In his new role, he will be looking for fresh opportunities for the NICEIC and NQA in respect of certification.
