The British Standards Institution (BSI) has published its Draft Code of Practice for Security Consultants, developed in close consultation with the Association of Security Consultants.
The BSI has been accepting comments on the Code, which the Institution ultimately wishes to publish and put forward as a Publicly Available Code of Practice for Security Consultants.

A copy of the Draft Code is available from chief executive Mike Welply at the Joint Security Industry Council (JSIC).

The PAS 49:2002 document – the name by which the new Code is being referred to – covers the recruitment and vetting of personnel, the structure of the consultancy organisation proper and the delivery and auditing of all services supplied.
