A revolutionary new chipset technology, the Digital Pixel System (DPS), which has been developed by digital imaging specialists, Pixim, is being used by Baxall to drive camera technology
The ground-breaking new chip radically changes the way cameras process images, resulting in near film-quality pictures. The sensor in Baxall's new range of Wide Dynamic cameras digitises the image immediately at the pixel level by incorporating an analogue to digital converter on each pixel. Every pixel is then individually exposed for the optimum amount of time to achieve a superior dynamic range to any current CCTV camera, resulting in a clearer picture that provides more detailed information to the user, like a human eye.
Baxall's Wide Dynamic camera range is expected to set the new benchmark for image quality in the CCTV market. It aims to grow its share of the CCTV market by leveraging the Digital Pixel System platform. The company will be previewing its Wide Dynamic camera range at IFSEC and will be holding several seminars on the new technology.
