Redbridge council chief housing officer Hassett Auguste is to succeed Aman Dalvi as chief executive of Ujima Housing Association.
Ujima has more than 4000 homes either in management or in the pipeline. It has had the largest new-build programme of any English housing association for two years.

Auguste has been managing Redbridge’s 6000 homes for six years since joining from Hackney council. He will take up his new post in September.

Dalvi is to be chief executive of Invest Thames Gateway, working on one of the UK’s largest regeneration projects.

He will facilitate the production of social and private housing as well as promoting business investment.
