Alder Statesman: Vale Housing Association tenant Frederick Alder is one of 12 winners in the association's Living in Oxfordshire art competition. Alder's painting of the thatched cottage in Ardington where he grew up appears on the May 2003 page of Vale's calendar-style annual report. It is the first time the association has used tenants' pictures in its annual report.
