Higher productivity excpected as a result of new technology on Mace site
A prominent project in the City of London is now offering workers and professionals wireless internet access to allow them to use portable devices such as laptops and PDAs on the site.
The Lime Street office scheme, being construction managed by Mace, is now taking advantage of the innovation thanks to wireless firm Ðǿմ«Ã½ Zones. The firm said this experiment would be a test case for Mace and the construction industry as a whole to assess the benefits of wireless technology. Mace IT manager David Cowan said: "We expect the wirless access to be particularly valuable during the snagging process as portable devices can be used to store and send information immediately. It will also be useful for the fit-out phase."
