WSP, BAA and Argent have joined forces once more for the Battle of the Construction Industry Bands, following the success of last year鈥檚 band showcase.

The event will take place on 1 October at Argent鈥檚 German Gymnasium on King鈥檚 Cross Central鈥檚 development site and is open to all construction industry company in-house rock bands.

Bill Price, Wild Sex Party member and director at WSP, said: 鈥淪o many of us in the construction industry enjoy playing music together as an activity outside our day-to-day professional work. The Battle of the Bands aims to recognise and encourage our industry鈥檚 hidden 鈥榯alent鈥� with some healthy competition and a lot of fun. We鈥檒l also be raising money for charity.鈥�

Last year鈥檚 event raised over 拢4,000 for the British Red Cross China Earthquake Appeal and The Copenhagen Youth Project, a local Kings Cross youth charity.

This year鈥檚 Best Band will get to nominate a charity of their choice, and the organisers are hoping to significantly increase the revenue generated.
