Consultancy White Young Green is working on the demolition of Pebble Mill Studios for client Advantage West Midlands.
The 拢100m job, on which the firm is providing engineering and planning supervision services, includes the removal of asbestos.
The demolition of the former home of the BBC in Birmingham, which is being carried out by local contractor DSM, is to make way for a science and technology park. The project is to create 36,000sqm of world class research and development facilities for the medical and healthcare industries.
Mark Butler of WYG said the project would 鈥済enerate many new jobs in the Birmingham area鈥.
Clive Dutton, Birmingham City Council director of planning and regeneration, said: 鈥淒eveloping this site will help us to create the technology and science based employment we need.鈥
