If you want to work for Camden you’d better come to grips with sustainability issues because the cool and big-spending London council has become the 11th local authority to join the Green Register, a nationwide network of construction professionals, tradesmen and local authorities offering training, seminars and access to experts on sustainable building practices.

Peter Bishop, director of Camden’s Environment Department, said the register would be useful for finding contractors and consultants who are keen on reducing damage to the environment and giving the council value for money at the same time.
