When it opens next spring, the national landmark structure – which stands 180 metres high and rises to 40 storeys – will accommodate 4,000 members of staff. As well as the office space on levels 2-34, at plaza level there are retail units and, at the top, private dining rooms and a bar area.
Property and facilities management concern Coflex is tasked with managing the building, the company appointing First to provide 30 officers for round-the-clock security.
First's responsibilities will include conventional security duties such as manned security, staffing the building's Control Centre and CCTV monitoring. First will also man the main reception area out-of-hours, providing additional security at the traffic manager's office and at the Bury Street facilities where the property management team will be based.
