If licenced, SummitSkills will be responsible for the setting of training and qualification standards throughout the sector as well as taking a lead in gathering intelligence about the market and encouraging entrants into the industry.
The body is seeking applications from anyone in the sector who wishes to join the board, particularly those from small businesses and sole traders. The first step for anyone interested is to visit the SummitSkills web site at www.summitskills.org.uk and return the skills profile questionnaire.

Last month, the union withdrew financial support. It will not now have the same rights as the shareholders.
