Surface protection specialists Signo Ltd are marketing Glassguard SG100 as the most durable and easy-to-apply sandblasted glass protection available.

Having recently introduced a simple buff-on method of application, there is no extended drying time as the coating bonds instantly, and the glass can be immediately handled as there is no increased slipperiness to the sheet surface.

Signo asserts that the coating provides protection against fingerprint marks as well as organic and inorganic contaminants. It will also resist the alcohol and other solvents - commonly used in glass furniture bonding - and by the end-user.

Signo also stake a claim to take the high ground on environmental responsibility, as the product is non-corrosive, and contains none of the irritants or HCFCs that the company claims some more traditional competitive products do.

Signo believe the unit price per metre applied to be ‘highly competitive against traditional products and their methods of application'.
