There was a 4-4 thriller at Stamford Bridge the other day, as Farnborough-based Sherborne Windows took on a Grant Bovey team which included Robbie Williams.

The sumptuous Summer Ball hosted by Grant Bovey and ‘Perfect Housewife' Anthea Turner last year raised money for CHASE Children's Hospice, and included a charity auction.

Chase is also Sherborne's adopted charity, and MD Chris Long -a committed football fan - won the auction bidding for the chance to play against Grant Bovey's Imagine Homes team on the hallowed turf at Stamford Bridge.

As an excited Sherborne team ran onto the pitch, they were gobsmacked to see that Robbie Williams, was lining up at left back for the opposition.

In a thrilling game Sherborne were two goals ahead within 30 minutes, but then conceded four to find themselves 2 down with 10 minutes to play.

A fine strike by Karl Dallaway completed a memorable hat-trick for him and take the score to 4-3. Then, with minutes to go, Derek Traylen equalised for Sherborne to secure a 4-4 result that seemed to please both teams and suit the nature of the occasion.
