Silver Shade is a new solar control film from Bekaert Specialty Films which significantly reduces heat gain and glare and can be applied to polycarbonate and acrylic surfaces as well as glass, making it ideal for use on conservatory roofs.
The film has a high performance metallised PVC coating which rejects 69 per cent of solar heat and reduces glare by 71%. It also reduces UV rays by more than 99%, says the company, to protect soft furnishings from fading.

The product can be applied to the internal or external face of the glazing by any one of a national network of dealer installers. Professionally applied, it carries a warranty of 10 years for internal application and 5 years for external application.
