Chris and Jim Shearn, brothers and joint Managing Directors of Seal-Lite are fulfilling their investment aspirations.

A new manufacturing plant on the Hither Green Trading Estate in Clevedon, North Somerset, will shortly be operational, raising the company’s capacity to 800 frames per week.

From humble beginnings with just a handful of staff, Seal-Lite now employs 50. Chris says, ‘We have strengthened all areas of the operation from receptionist, sales co-ordinators and line managers to insist on a level of quality and customer service.’

Seal-Lite runs a successful retail business alongside its manufacturing operations. New Elumatec machinery is seen as being a major factor in the company’s transition to being a bigger players in trade sales. Investment has been made in new premises to house the new operations.

Jim Shearn comments, ‘We help trade customers to grow by assisting in a fast turnaround so that all of our aspirations are met.’ Refurbishment of another site in Clevedon is the second addition to Seal-Lite’s head office in Hither Green. Within the showroom, which covers 3,000 square feet, the company is able to show the full array of products that the manufacturing plant produces.
