Sanyo’s VCC-4790P, 520 TV lines day/night camera is said to deliver super high resolution colour images down to 0.45 lux, requiring just 0.01 lux illumination to produce high quality monochrome images.
The cameras make use of a high sensitivity CCD sensor that incorporates the latest algorithms devised by Sanyo to reproduce natural colours. At the same time, the sensors drastically reduce ‘smear’ effects that can result from headlights at night.
‘Intelligent’ backlight compensation provides a clear view of off-centre and moving objects. This is achieved by dividing the video image into 64 small areas and measuring each separately to determine lighting levels.
The VCC-4790P offers automatic or manual switching from day to night mode. As the camera senses the level of light available, it automatically switches an infrared cut filter on and off, thereby transforming the camera from daytime to night-time use.
