Government figures suggest that 500,000 people in the UK experience work-related stress at a level they believe is making them ill. Not only that, estimates suggest that work-related stress costs society 拢3.7 billion every year.

Despite those figures, the Government recently cut its 拢1 million funding to the charity Saneline, resulting in it having to close off many much-needed resources. For its part, Careline provides a confidential, national telephone counselling service for members of staff who are feeling the effects of stress. It helps over 7,000 callers every year.

Thankfully, one security company 鈥 Regent Group 鈥 has stepped in with support for Careline, nominating the organisation as its 鈥榗orporate sponsored charity鈥.

鈥淲e're proud to support this charity as it makes a genuine difference to peoples鈥 lives,鈥 said the Regent Group鈥檚 Paul Harvey.
