Axis Communications has acquired Attento, a Danish software company specialising in video surveillance solutions.
Attento develops software for digital video surveillance solutions ranging from smaller retail systems to larger more geographically widespread security systems suitable for banks, for example.

Axis has also added a new European distribution partner, Anixter International, a leading distributor of data communications products.

Axis' network surveillance products are a key offering for Chicago-headquartered Anixter, and will be distributed through this new initiative, which is currently being rolled out throughout the continent.
