With over 22 floors of glass to think about, internationally renowned food producers Nestlé, at their UK headquarters in Croydon, have acted to reduce the heat gain and glare caused by the sun through the building's 1,416 panes of glass and to ensure increased glazing safety and security within certain areas of the building. For this, they turned to window filming specialists,Pentagon Filmtek.
Gary Trickett, Sales Manager for Pentagon Filmtek explains: ‘Upon survey, we found that the majority of windows at the Nestlé UK building measured 61 inches x 69" - significant figures if we were to carry out the installation utilising the standard 60" width roll of film, as it would have been impossible to install without the necessity of a join.'
Pentagon Filmtek solved this problem with the internal installation of a 72" width combined high-performance solar control/security film to all areas.
