On the tiles: Paddington resident Rico Greenaway (pictured), 11, helped design this mosaic as part of a three-month community project funded by Peabody Children’s Fund and Walterton & Elgin Community Homes.

The design brightens the Prince of Wales Junction, which marks the beginning of the Walterton Estate in west London.

It was built by the Westway Project, the community-led environmental design and public art group.
