In all three cases we have conducted internal investigations and are confident that there was no discrimination on the part of Notting Hill or its employees. We are prepared to fully defend these allegations at the tribunal.
We now have all targets in place to address race and cultural diversity requirements, as set out in the Housing Corporation assessment of September 2003. As part of the corporation's recommendation, our targets were committed to be recalculated based on census data. A delay to the publication of this data led to a delay to our programme in this area.
Notting Hill has informed partner councils of our proposed targets to reflect their communities' diversity. We have also secured an innovation and good practice grant from the corporation to research the perceptions, expectations and satisfaction levels of our customers based on ethnicity. The project's findings will be used to design and test model choices in service delivery.
