Willmott Dixon will build the 295-flat project, designed by architect PRP, in Hammersmith. The three organisations also worked on a 246-unit scheme for Hillingdon hospital workers. Work on the Hammersmith site will start this summer and end in early 2006.
The news comes as the average house price broke the £100,000 barrier, according to lender Halifax. This makes a first home out of reach for key workers in half of Britain’s big towns.
