Mike Newton 鈥� chief executive of Warrington-based CCTV specialist AD Group, and the founder of Dedicated Micros 鈥� has won EN magazine鈥檚 prestigious North West Entrepreneur of the Year Award for 2005, having earlier this year scooped Management Today鈥檚 Award as Leading UK Entrepreneur from a list of 100 candidates.

Two decades ago, Newton was responsible for bringing the world鈥檚 first CCTV multiplexer to the market 鈥� now recognised as a major landmark in surveillance history. He has also overseen a huge growth in AD鈥檚 turnover, which has risen from 拢930,000 in 1998 to 拢93 million in 2004.

Speaking about his latest accolade, Mike told Security Management Today: 鈥淭he award is a direct reflection of the strength of the team and processes in place at the AD Group, which allow us to offer genuinely innovative CCTV solutions.鈥�
