New arrival joins from AtkinsR茅alis

WSP has brought in a former AtkinsR茅alis director to head up its nuclear and energy sector business.

Stuart McLaren will lead the division for the UK and Ireland and was previously global sustainability growth director at AtkinsR茅alis.

He has also worked for Aecom and Arcadias as well as Atkins before it was bought by Canadian firm SNC in 2017.

WSP said: 鈥淪tuart鈥檚 appointment is a key part of WSP鈥檚 2025鈥�2027 strategic plan to accelerate growth in priority sectors, including nuclear. He will play a pivotal role in driving a more integrated, multi-disciplinary approach to energy delivery, expanding client relationships, and positioning WSP to respond to major energy infrastructure opportunities across the UK.鈥�

The firm was recently appointed, along with T&T, to provide advisory services to Great British Energy for its nuclear Small Modular Reactor programme.
