Nine-storey building will include 237 build-to-rent apartments
Winvic Construction has secured a mixed-use scheme in Sheffield that will see the regeneration of an area a short walk from the city’s two universities.
The project around Napier Street and Summerfield Street, funded by listed residential landlord Grainger, will see 237 properties built - 56 studios, 81 one bedroom and 100 two bedroom apartments.
Spaces for retailers, cafes and restaurants, as well as a car park, are part of plans for the nine-storey building that will be completed for client Adobe Hallam in August 2019.
Ed Ellerington, PRS acquisitions director at Grainger, said: “The creation of 237 high quality homes, built specifically for the rental market will be significant for Sheffield’s city centre housing needs and regeneration.â€
Winvic is also currently erecting steelwork at the Vaughan Way PRS scheme in Leicester next to the Highcross Shopping Centre.
The mixed-use residential and commercial development is an 11-storey block comprising 298 apartments, which is also scheduled for completion in spring 2019.
