Profit slips at electrican and contracting company after difficulties at two regional businesses
Profit and turnover both dropped slightly at T Clarke in the first half of the year after problems within two of its regional businesses.

The problem regions are understood be Preston and Norfolk.
Pre-tax profit at the electrical engineering and contracting company dropped to £3.9m from £4m, in the six months to 30 June 2007. Turnover fell to £96m, a drop of £4m.
Chief executive Pat Stanborough said: “Despite the recent difficulties the group has faced, the outlook is encouraging. While there are challenges ahead of us, our market is growing in all sectors.â€
Despite the fall in profit the board recommended a 6% rise in interim dividend to 3.9p.
Recent project wins at the company include Ropemaker Place in the City of London and Kent International Airport.
