The new building has been designed to house hi-tech industries from the world of motorsport.

A new Innovation Centre at Silverstone racing track will hot house up to 40 engineering start-up companies when it opens next week.

The £4.2m centre designed by Cube Design offers 30,000sq ft of commercial space to motor racing engineering companies and related industries.

Alex Hooton, chief executive of the British Racing Drivers Club says: “We are very excited by this project and see it as a critical element in the develop of the High Tech Park at Silverstone, which we intend will catalyse the motorsport industry.”

The central atrium spans the three-storey height of the building and the structure features Kalwall which is used as an external wall to allow natural light to filter through office suites.
