Victoria Hills will start her new role later this year

Gumble’s exit was announced at the start of this year, with her departure scheduled for this month. Hills is set to take over later this year.

Hills has been at the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) since 2018, prior to which she worked for the Greater London Authority for more than a decade, including a stint as the chief of the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation.

Hills said: “It’s an incredibly exciting time for professionalism in the construction sector, and the opportunity to improve the quality of the built environment, driving up professional standards, pushing forward on innovation, influencing policy and strengthening talent across the CIOB global community is one not to be missed, and I am excited to be joining the CIOB at this time.â€
