Making the Tees: This £20m flagship city academy is to be built in east Middlesbrough by a joint venture between Gleeson and Amey. The 10,500 ft2 building was designed by Hickton Madeley for Unity Academy Trust and the Department for Education and Skills. It will provide learning facilities for 1200 full-time students and will include sporting amenities, performing arts studios and learning research centres. Project manager is Gleeds and M&E engineer is FaberMaunsell.
